Operator

ICE OIL & GAS is the Operator of the exploration block CI-705, offshore Côte d’Ivoire, covering an area of 2289 km2 with oustanding potential.

OPERATIONS​

CI-705

On November 13, 2023, ICE OIL & GAS has signed a production sharing contract with Côte d’Ivoire on offshore block CI-705. This block has a size of 2,289 sq km., located offshore Grand Lahou at a water depth of up to 2,500 meters.

With the signing of the PSC, ICE OIL & GAS, (Operator with 90% interest) has obtained exploration, development and production rights in Block CI-705.

PETROCI, the national oil company, has 10% carried interest. The exploration period, as set out in ICE’s PSC, will last seven years, divided into three periods. This block is covered by good quality 2D and 3D seismic data (1270 sq km.). Three exploration wells were drilled on block CI-705. ICE OIL & GAS will concentrate its exploration efforts in the Albian sands in the area of interest located on trend of the producing field.

ICE OIL & GAS identified a large gas-prone prospect in shallow water depth of less than 200 meters, close to infrastructure.

Dr. N’DA Loukou Victor

Research Director, Geologsit, Biostratigraphy Specialist

Victor has over 30 years’ experience at Petroci .
He held the position of Laboratory Manager as a specialist in biostratigraphy. He participated in the work and drafting of the 1990 and 2010 Ivorian sedimentary basin petroleum assessment reports for the Côte d’Ivoire Ministry of Energy. He contributed to the preparation of documents for the promotion of the Ivorian sedimentary basin in Denver. As an expert in maritime boundary delimitation and a member of the National Maritime Boundary Commission, he has participated in numerous international workshops and congresses. Victor has published research articles in the international biostratigraphy press.
Victor holds a PhD in Geology of Mineral and Energy Raw Materials from PAU University in collaboration with ELF Aquitaine. He also holds a DEA in Geology, Geochemistry and Advanced Techniques from the University of Nice, and trained as a Biostratigraph specialist at the AGIP Laboratory in Milan.

Faustin ALLANGBA

Engineering and Production Manager

Faustin has more than 30 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
He was Engineering and Production Manager at Petroci. Faustin was Technical Advisor to Petroci’s CEO and Director of the LION GPL natural gas production plant, which supplies butane gas to the domestic market. Faustin is a lecturer in reservoir and production engineering at INP-HB Yamoussoukro. He holds a master’s degree in petroleum engineering and Technical Management from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Theodore KOFFI

Exploration Manager

Theodore has over 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
He was director of Petroci’s Center of Analysis and Research. This geological and petroleum analysis laboratory, a partner of Core Laboratories, offers a complete service in biostratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemistry and sequence stratigraphy. Theodore has been the lead geologist for most of the fields in the Côte d’Ivoire basin.
Prior to this, Theodore was a geologist with Phillips Petroleum in Oklahoma and Phillips Petroleum Côte d’Ivoire. Theodore is a geologist and graduated from the University of Abidjan and the Bartlesville Petroleum Institute, Oklahoma-USA.

Sergio LAURA

Vice President Exploration

Sergio has 38 years of energy industry experience.
At ENI, he held the position of General Manager Côte d’Ivoire in 2018 and was a major player in the discovery of the giant Baleine-1x field in 2021. Sergio was Vice President West Africa (Angola Congo CIV, Gabon Ghana Kenya Mozambique, Nigeria, General Manager Eni Ghana, Poland, India, Indonesia. Prior to this, Sergio was Exploration Manager at AGIP in London and Milan. Sergio LAURA earned a master’s degree in geology from the University of Genoa, Italy.

Philippe N’DA

Managing Director

Philippe founded ICE OIL & GAS in 2022, bringing together experts in the upstream oil sector to lead exploration projects in West Africa.
For more than 10 years, Philippe has been developing his knowledge of the sector, particularly in exploration services and in the trading of petroleum products. He also developed local content for seismic acquisition projects in Côte d’Ivoire. Prior to this, Philippe began his career as a Credit Analyst at Natixis and Calyon, then as a Derivatives Broker at GFI Securities in Paris. Philippe holds a master’s degree in finance from London Middlesex Business school and a master’s degree in management from University of Paris XII.

Jacques N'DA

President

Jacques has 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. 

He worked at PETROCI where he has held technical and management positions including Geophysical Department Manager, Foxtrot-Gas Project Manager and Director, Technical Advisor to CEO. 
He actively contributed to the synthesis of the Côte d’Ivoire sedimentary basin and supervised the 1990 and 2010 Petroleum Evaluation Reports with Beicip and Petroci on behalf of the Ministry of Energy.
At Petroci, he negotiated and executed numerous PSCs and Seismic Acquisition Contracts that enabled the appraisal and production of oil and gas reserves in Côte d’Ivoire, in partnership with international oil companies.
Jacques is a geophysicist from IPG, Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg, 1977.
